What does a Change of Mind franchise cost?

The franchise fee for the first Change of Mind Learning Systems center is $25,000. The second center will cost $20,000. The third center will cost $15,000.

As an owner, how much money will I make?

Change of Mind is regulated as to making earning claims. Our UFOC provides information to assist you in evaluating financial aspects of the business to better understand the opportunity. However, we can provide the information in written form in the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC).

What size is a typical center?

Centers are located in malls, office buildings or store fronts, and are designed to keep overhead low by using space efficiently. A center is typically 1200 to 1800 square feet.

What are the "people" requirements?

We recommend two full-time employees: an educator and a business/sales person. According to the owner's personal strengths, they will typically fill one of these positions.

What is the training format?

Change of Mind provides a comprehensive, ongoing training program. It begins with a 11-day start-up comprehensive program, followed by regional sessions, on site visits, telephone support, etc. Training in all aspects of the business continues throughout the year.

Must I personally manage the Centers?

Yes. We require that business owners be involved full-time.

What ongoing support do I receive?

Beginning with your grand opening, a Change of Mind representative will facilitate the operation of a franchisee's new business. The confidential Operations Manual provides direction on policies and procedures. Change of Mind provides proprietary software, research and development and support sales/marketing programs.

What sales and marketing support will I receive?

Change of Mind provides comprehensive sales training plus professionally produced advertising materials for all media - including radio advertising, yellow pages and newspaper ads, public relations, brochures, direct mail
and school visit materials.

Will I have an exclusive territory?

Individual franchises receive an exclusive, assigned geographical area that excludes other Centers. Once a franchise is approved, the owner will receive a packet that includes area maps, demographics, database lists, etc.

Is the franchise a "sure thing"?

No business investment is ever a sure thing. We offer an opportunity to become a successful entrepreneur; the owner's skills and effort will determine ultimate success.
