The Student

  • I learned a lot of people cared about my parents. Even the people (at Change of Mind) showed they cared about me and my education. That helped my attitude grow to a more positive side, and that's when I started progressing in school.

  • I was very excited to get accepted into the Navel American Prep School because of my good grades. I am very excited to be there and am also on the honor roll.

  • I think it is fun and the teachers are nice to me.

  • I felt really sad when I knew my daughter was struggling so much. I knew she wasn't getting her math. She would tell me she did her homework and deep down, I knew she didn't.

  • It helped me catch upon my homework and stuff, and I wasn't embarrassed anymore.

  • We realized we could not approach the problem ourselves. We really needed help and went to (Change of Mind) because it was a really perfect fit. At that point, everybody's self-esteem was really low. Our son was four grade levels behind in reading, and two grade levels behind in math. Two months later, our son was two years up in grade levels.

  • It made me believe more in myself. It made me feel more "I can do this" not "I think I can do this." I went to "I know Ican do it if I try." It made school a lot more fun.

  • We discovered our son was only in the 42nd percentile, and we knew he could do better. We wanted a program that would help him excel. After three months of Direct Instruction, he was up one whole grade level. It was a really dramatic difference.

  • It's a small price to pay for our daughter's future, and we would do it again.
